A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
As a child, I witnessed my father make a unique dish for dinner almost every night, but my culinary adventures didn't really begin until 1999 when my roommate at the time turned me onto Food Network. I became obsessed, and 21 years later, I'm still just as obsessed. I learned most everything I know about cooking from the greats--Emeril, Rachael Ray, Giada, Bobby Flay, and Alton Brown. I watched religiously and developed the experimentation bug, and soon my moderately lousy cooking started to get just a little bit better with every recipe I tried. I attribute this improvement to my gorgeous, food-loving husband of almost 18 years as well as my beautiful, but picky teenage daughter. Their consistently honest feedback makes me a better homecook. When something is a win, they tell me, and, well, when something is a fail, they are very quick to tell me that too. Haha! Don't even get me started on the Dijon Mustard incident of 2014!
Now, the culinary arts are a true devotion of mine that I enjoy sharing with my friends, my family, and even with strangers who love to eat. With this blog, I hope to inspire you to open your mind to new ingredients and find your love for cooking the way that I continue to find so much passion in my kitchen.
